It is indeed a new approach to motivate the budding young students to step into their collegiate education. Nehru Memorial College conducted a three day induction programme to first year students. Around 800 students from various disciplines participated in the programme. The objective of the programme is to familiarise the environment of the institution. The students were able to mingle with the faculty members. They were made aware of the various facilities available in the college. Exposure on extension activities. NSS,NCC, Sports were given by respective coordinators. Mr.Gurunathan,Circle Inspector, Thuraiyur gave awareness programme on cyber crime, POCSO Act. Principal Dr AR PonPeriyasamy,Vice Principal,The Dean's, HODs, Hostel Wardens shared their experience. President Pon Balasubramanian Ponnambalam inaugurated and Pon Ravichandran secretary delivered valedictory address. The event has a real positive feedback. It is one of the interesting and precise event managed by Dr.Muralidharan and Dr.KTTamilmani. Kudos to the freshers.
