T. Jayaprakasam, Principal of NMC welcomed the gathering. A. Prabaharan Dean of NMC outlined the campaign and its purposes.

Ravi Murgaiah in his inaugural address said "Clean nations are well developed. In order to develop, India must follow the cleanliness policy first. Then automatically development can come. Mahatma Gandhi first philosophisied and followed the cleanliness from South Africa. But the nation had forgotten the golden advices of his father. Have we listened to his advice today India will be the paradise on Earth. Students must ensure that they teach their family members and neighbhours about the cleanliness. toilet habits must be imparted from the childhood. If the toilets are clean then there are less possibility for diseases. In our country open toilets cause huge damage to the health indicators. I congratulate the Innovation Incubator of Nehru Memorial College for taking this crucial Initiative and wishing its successful anchoring of the campaign".

i2 is planning to press in its members to compaign about sanitation for all in the villages surrounding the college. It is also thinking to collaborate with national and international agencies to ensure cleanliness in the country.

In the end the speaker obliged the audience and sang few of his favourite songs.
