A Seminar on "Current Trends and Job Opportunities in IT" was organized for the final year Under Graguate and Post Graduate students of Computer Science students on 4th July 2016. The programme was aimed to create awareness among the youngsters to learn about the current IT trends and opportunities. Mr. Sivanesan, Technical Lead, Mindlance Inc. New Jersey, United States of America addressed the students through video conference. He elaborated the current trends in IT industry like mobile platform industry and cloud computing. He further explained the job opportunities available in the IT industry apart from software development. The students had a live interaction with the resource person and asked their queries like game developed, hacking etc., The program was presided over by the principal Dr. T. Jayaprakasam, and felicitated by Pon. Balasubramanian, President of our College Commitee, Prof. M. Muralidharan, Head, Department of Computer Science, welcomed the gathering. The programme was organized by Prof. P. Kalpana from Computer Science Department. Prof. R. Periyasami, Prof. K. Ponvel Azhugulakshmi, Prof. R. Akila, Prof. J. Saigeetha, Prof. R. Jaya, Prof. D. Jayachitra, Prof. K. Sridevi and Prof. V. Priya participated in the programme. Mr. Alex Suriya from III BCA, Jagan and Sathish from III B.Sc CS and Swathi from III MCA gave feedback about the programme. Prof. P. Kalpana proposed vote of thanks.
