The PG & Research Department of Zoology of Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti conducted a special lecture on 29/12/2016. Dr.V.Elangovan, Associate professor, Department of Applied Animal Science, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University,Lucknow was the chief guest of the occasion. He deliverd a lecture on "Biodiversity of Bats". He explained in detail about the different type of bats. He offered suggestions for conservation stragies of bats. Finally he appealed to the students to pursue research in the field of chiropteran. While Prof M.P.Shanthi, the Head of the Department of Zoology welcomed the gathering, Principal, T.Jayaprakasam,presided over the meeting and Er.Pon.Balasubramaninan President, felicitated. At the end of the programme Prof N.Ramesh, Assistant Professor of Zoology proposed a vote of thanks. Ms R.Thangamani and R.Arulpriya were the Master of Ceremony of the programme. Dr.K.Saravanan,Assistant Professor of Zoology organised the function.
