Our department of chemistry has organized an inter - collegiate competition in named as ChemRace - 16 on 1st March 2016. 87 Students of B.Sc., and M.Sc., chemistry from 11 colleges have participated in the competiton.
The inaugural function was started ar 11.00 am in the college seminar hall. Our college principal Dr. S. Kumararaman presided the function. Our college president Er. Pon . balasubrananian inaugurated the CHEMRACE 16. Our college dean Dr. A. Prabhaharan fe;ocotated. Dr. A. Kasthuri, HOD(sf) of chemistry welcomes the gathering.
The prizes were distributed by the chief guest Dr. A. Peter Pascal Regis, Vice-Principal and associate prefessor of chemistry, St. Josephs College (Autonomous), Trichy-2. The participants from Jamal Mohammed College(Autonomous), Trichy-20 have won the overall winner shield.
With the encouragement, motivation and monetary help of the management, our department has successfully organized this inter-collegiate competition. Starting from the registration desk till the valedictory function everything was going on well with the co-operation and help of the faculty members Prof. P. Gowthami, Prof. N. Shanthi, Prof. K. Dhanapal and Prof. M. Arunadevi.
