A seminar was inauguated by our principal Dr. T. Jayaprakasam. Dr. A. Kasthuri, HOD(Sf), welcomed the gathering of the inaugural function. The chief guest Dr. P. Pandian, Associate Professor of chemistry, periyar E.V.R. college (Autonomous), Trichy-23 has given a key note address in the inaugural function.
In the technical sessions left chief guest Dr. P. Pandian has delievered a special lecture on Dynamic Stereochemistry which included the conformation and reactivity of cyclic systems due to their difference in the three dimensional spatial arrangement of organic molecules. He has moticated the students to prepare for CSIR/JRF/NET examination and other competitive examinations. also he has highlighted the importance of research activities for the national growth.
Both UG and Pg chemistry students have participated in the seminar. The apprectiation and the feedback given by the students have proved the usefulness and the success of this one day seminar.
Prof. S. Arumugam has proposed the vote of thanks in the valedictory function. All the faculty members of the PG department of Chemistry (Sf) under the headship of Dr. A. Kasthuri made all the arrangements for this one day seminar held on the topic "Dymanic Steteochemistry".
