      The department of English is as old as the college and has been marching hand in hand with the institution in surmounting challenges and in setting goals and attaining them with ease

      The department has a substantial number of faculty members trained in English language teaching (ELT) from the most reputed central institute of English and foreign languages (CIEFL). Imparting of English language skills with single-minded devotion to a large section of under privileged learners has been an asset of the department.

      The college and the department of English share the common spirit of pride of place in striving for academic excellence at every level of competitive participation in the process of human upliftment.

      The department of English has been offering English language course at part II level for four semesters for undergraduate programmes with a conscious thrust on promoting communication skills through speech and writing.

      As communicative competence is of utmost demand at the Human Resource Level in Various job-Recruiting forums, the existence of the department depends soley on the telling merit of moulding career-bound youngsters towards achieving multidimensional, personality-oriented performance -goals through regular teaching sessions and off-classroom career counseling interactions.
